Helping you find healing from trauma and PTSD

Specializing in veterans, first responders, prison workers, sexual assault survivors and others who have experienced trauma.

How long have you been saying, “my experience wasn’t that bad” or “...I can get by on my own.”

The truth is, trauma messes with your brain, and undoing that damage all on your own is painful, difficult – and often impossible. But there are practical, tangible ways to lessen the painful memories and undo that damage.

Feeling better and moving past the trauma is closer and easier than you think – when you’ve got the right support.

If you’ve been experiencing anxiety, depression, or panic attacks, not sleeping well, or notice that you become easily irritated or angered; can’t focus or slow your brain down, then you should know that no trauma is too “insignificant” or too big to be treated. I’m here to help you through it.

Therapy for Trauma & PTSD

Who I help: Individual Therapy for Adults

I specialize in working with former military, law enforcement, EMT workers, nurses, prison guards, and sexual assault victims. If you’re experiencing PTSD, working through spiritual or untreated trauma, we’ll work together to help you:

  • Finally sleep through the night
  • Feel happier and more at peace
  • Experience less irritability and anger
  • Get along better with the people in your life
  • Hold down a job you enjoy
  • Feel more comfortable in crowds

How I help: Narrative Exposure Therapy

I’ve seen the most success when using a method called Narrative Exposure Therapy. Together, we’ll identify and work to treat the big and small “whammies” you’ve experienced, and I’ll show you how to self-regulate so you can do this on your own, over time. We will:

  • Start with a deep assessment
  • Create a ‘significant events’ timeline
  • Develop a treatment plan customized to your experiences
  • Work on the big “whammies” followed by the smaller ones
  • Teach you how to get unstuck from “Hulk mode” and move into “Bruce Banner brain” like a pro

No matter what you’ve been through, there’s a way to treat and heal it.
